I worked for over 30 years as an estimator and project manager in heavy equipment construction. I worked on projects of all sizes and types - small parking lots, large multi-phased residential sites, multi-family sites, industrial sites, municipal roads and sites, FDOT roads, and more.
All of this taught me that all stages of construction are dependent upon each other to produce a profitable project that also creates great working relationships with engineers, owners, and developers. This all begins with accurate and detailed takeoff and estimates and is then followed by effective project management, asset tracking, and cost analysis.
I also spent several years as a one-person office during the early years of a
growing site construction company. I handled all the office work in addition to
estimating and project management. During that time I gained an appreciation and understanding of most all the necessary skills and abilities with a site contractor's office. So I truly know the value of being able to delegate work when possible so that you can concentrate your efforts on the work that you need to do
